As far as walking the Camino goes, this was a great day, everything I had come to expect from this trip. And not only that, but a much shorter day of walking. But as far as my heart was going, well, there are few words today and I have decided to give this day to the many images that I took on route and only to share that I am not afraid of being on my own.
The early morning is shrouded in mists, concealing each mysterious step of the CaminoThe route was busy today. We spent the morning trying to keep ahead of the jubilant cries of a high school group as did many other peregrinos, walking faster than they would otherwiseThe sign says that it is less than 100 km now – true, if you are stopping at Santiago. Otherwise…..
Nearing our stop at Portomarin, the path takes on a difficult slant and it was slow going, following unsteady peregrinos down here.
But at the end of the path, fabulous views over the river to PortmarinAnd then some steep steps upwards!
